Vehicle Highway Stops and the Drug Trafficker

This course will provide instruction to law
enforcement officers on highway traffic
stops of suspected drug couriers and
users. It is the goal of this course to
provide these techniques to lead to the
safe discovery of illegal contraband and
ultimately, a successful prosecution. This
course will include practical exercises for
interviewing techniques and vehicle
searches on cars, small trucks and
commercial tractor trailers.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS TRAINING

Human trafficking is prevalent in the United States and increasingly cases are coming to the attention of Kentucky law enforcement officers.  Through funding from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), the Kentucky RCPI and the Lexington and Louisville Human Trafficking Task Forces are sponsoring two eight-hour training sessions in Louisville and Lexington on Human Trafficking Awareness. Training will include indicators of human trafficking;  victimization issues; how to interview victims (sexual trafficking, labor trafficking, and child victims); and community resources.
